A Virginia company, deliberately small.
DregsBane Systems LLC is a Virginia company, formed April 2026, building infrastructure against physical neglect: CrustBot, a remotely operated vehicle being prepared for assembly, and Grime Ward, a place journal and cleanup companion in beta.
It is deliberately small — everything on this site was designed, built, benchmarked, and deployed in-house. The build log is the honest record of who we are: what shipped, what didn't, and what the numbers actually say.

DregsBane was founded in April 2026 by Andrew Watson, after four years at Amazon building ML platform and release-quality infrastructure for the Fire TV, Fire Tablet, and Echo device programs — model evaluation, automated retraining, and commit-triggered test selection running across a hundred-plus CI pipelines.
He studied Computer Science and Economics at NYU, graduating in 2022 as a Presidential Honors Scholar. That evaluation background is most of why this site leads with measurements rather than claims — it is the same discipline that catches a detector class scoring a perfect 1.00 on its own test split and 3% on real photographs, which is exactly what happened here in August.
The original Three.js simulator was designed by India Daniel. India Daniel graduated NYU with Andrew Watson in 2022, studying Computer Science as well as both French and Chinese Language.
Her contributions to DregsBane Systems LLC include building the Three.js simulation environment which visualizes the navigation software to support our software-in-the-loop testing. Her delivery of the navigation software facilitated the company’s first product demo to our founders and external clients. That proof of concept helped establish the work behind Grime Ward, now in web beta and internal TestFlight testing, where users document places and share litter data to support cleanup efforts.
